Default Now what is the motivation to play GW?

I thank I have been to all the towns and done the quests I can get. I also went to farm something, but I only can use the green items in next farming. Can any one tell me what interesting in GW after 20 Lvl? I don't want to stop playing. Thank you.

use the old role?

Anyway:
Make different classes and test their skills out.

In PvE you can try to get the best stuff for your character (like FoW Armor)

In PvP theres ALOT of Unlocks to get. That I'm sure you only have a faction of.

If I were to comment on this I would flame you.

The reason of guild wars is to have fun.. really in my opinion quests arent to fun.

Have you done these things?
1. soloed fow
2. soloed uw
3. soloed Perdition rock
4. soloed ThK
Do you do anything else other than quests like farming ? not easy spots the hard ones, can you run to almost every town? can you play all the profession and or link them together to make a workable build.

If not well then ask yourself why you havent done it....

What? Old role? You mean your current PvE character? Yeah.

And if you have to ask what is left, I bet 1000 plat you missed an entire section of the PvE experience. Did you complete all of the Sorrows Furnace quests? Did you do ALL of the bonus's in the missions? Fissure and Underworld questing? Titan quests?

I have to ask because I've heard of people saying Guild Wars sucks cause they've done everything, and they hadn't even been to the Ring of Fire.

By the time I started to post, the answers where already there.

So ...what they said above me.

I've been playing since the day of the retail release & have yet to lack for something to do when I log on.
Mind you, I'm not an 8 hour a day 7 days a week player...you know what they say about too much of a good thing. (It usually causes chaffing.)

But, if you only play to ???beat the game??? then you are done, I guess. If you have actually reached the end of the PVE storyline...that is it, for now, anyway.

That's horribly misleading. Yes, soloing is fun and somewhat of a sign of skill, but as this game is based around teamwork soloing should be minimalized. That list should look like this:

1) Beaten the FoW, all quests and monsters therein, with a good group of players?
2) Beaten the UW, all quests and monsters therein, with a good group of players?
3) Cleared Perdition Rock, or at least know you can with a good group.
4) Consistently beaten THK, thanks to your knowledge of the area and skills as a player. With this, you can help out people who are new to the area.
5) Made friends along the way.

There were plenty of good suggestions but the truth is that when the game gets boring to you it's time to quit. There's no real need to search around for some way to keep it on life support.

I'm still enjoying the game but, when I tire of it, I don't think I'll spend a lot of time trying to find some way to renew my interest. I'll just move on.

When my stepdaughter started college I told her that it's a part of life, not a career, smile. It's the same thing with a game. Games were meant to be played and eventually discarded. All of us move at our own rates - for instance I'm still having a lot of fun after 7 months - but the game clock will run out for all of us eventually.

I agree with everythign said, i just want to comment of other stuff

Guild Wars as the name emphisizes about guilds. its always fun to have a great guild, and for some, to have a lead a guild. If you are looking for a challage, you can always start a guild. Or join a nice guild, help people out, play PvP or hard PvE Areas.

Also, you can jsut go around looking for rares. Greens, Perfect mods, or just waste you gold on looking cool. With dye. It all depends on what is fun for you. Im trying to get in to PvP now, but its slow, lol. I think i should join a more active/pvP guild. But anyways...

its always fun to just make new PvE charectures, to get to play differnt styles. Find out new builds for PvE/PvP.

There is nothing that is dumb or stupid. my sister likes to just dance and do commands with players, and look at how weird they look. Just messing around(she just used my char and does random stufff...) but anyways. Just have fun.

But PvP is always a way to go

potentially, there are lots of articles (including a recent one here on guru) on PVE characters in PVP. I usually use pve characters in gvg and randoms, but usually make a pvp character for team arenas or halls just because its got superior flexibility.

My bad. Though your name doesn't seem to lend itself to 'inspiration'.

annouther thing you can do is join an ACTIVE guild, and help guildies, do farming and PVP with them. once you get to know your guildies youre gonna have tons more fun playing with them and do farming quests and misions etc

there are some that just like to grind and farm to the end of time. that's all they do. and almost all exclusively solo... I have two people that were in our guild that were this way. being so pissed that their precious farming areas got nerfed they left never to return.. Even after trying to coax them back with free factions I had offered them... (I am buying several for my gaming clan, some as gifts some as prizes, some as Clan accounts for demo purposes...)

In any case... There are some people that just will never be happy with what is known as an equal footing... They want unfair advantages to exploit. and the way to those unfair advantages is to grind a character till your level god knows what. last count this particular guy is lev 80 in WoW. And all he does is humiliate level lower then him in PvP and While questing... He is also very well known to steal (Loot) battlefields instead of playing the game fairly... waiting for a boss to kill several till he kills the boss and then loots the dead bodies... This is the lifestyle of a typical WoW player...

But this is what they want. if this is what you want, then GW is not the game for you and doubtful ever will be. You will always be equally matched with the last version of the game on the market. and that's the way Arenanet has planned it from the beginning. Even with NCSoft Pressuring them to charge subscriptions and fall in line with the common MMO, ArenaNet has stood their ground on these points. I don't expect them to falter while they are still making money on the scale they have been for NCSoft...
